Will Nuclear Iran destroy the world?

Iran is almost nuclear what should we be doing? See what the torah teaches about what will happen before the coming of Moshiach.

Iran becoming a nuclear power is a hot topic nowadays. I’d like to show you some very interesting things that the torah says about the future and how Iran will destroy the world the way we know it. We also have to keep in mind that the Torah teaches is what to do in difficult times that we are in, so close to such massive chaos.

An amazing Midrash explains what will happen shortly before the coming of Moshiach. We cannot say with certainty that this Midrash is referring to the situation we are in right now, but you can see for yourself how well it fits in.

So this is the Midrash: Rav Yitzchak says that the year that moshiach will come all of the nations will fight with each other. This sounds like nothing less than a world war! The king of Persia, which is now called Iran, will fight with the king of Arabia, which we call Saudi Arabia, and the king of Saudi Arabia will go to the king of Edom for advice. Edom is referring to the western world. Then Persia (or Iran) will proceed to destroy the world and all of the nations of the world will be confused and pained like birth pangs. The Jewish people will be confused and they will cry out “where should I go? Where should I turn?” and then Hashem will say to them “my children, do not worry, everything that I did I did for you. Now has come the time for your redemption. This redemption will not be like the others. For in the others there was an exile following the redemption, but this time there will be no more exile.

We really don’t need this midrash to show us that we are in the times close to coming of Moshiach. There are many other clear signs mentioned in the Talmud and other places. (Hopefully we will have a chance to speak about them at another time) But what we do see from this midrash is that Iran will destroy practically the whole in a world war!

Iran builds up nuclear weapons and we sit quietly! Its almost amazing to see how calm everyone is, like nothing at all is happening. Well, you probably are thinking ‘what could I do anyway, I’m not a politician!’. True we are not(at least I am not)politicians in a simple sense but each one of us do have the ability lead the world through teshuva (repentance) and prayer.

Even though the Midrash prophesizes that there will be a world war there is a principle that repentance can stop a negative prophesy from being fulfilled.

Hashem listens to our prayers and He wants us to pray to Him. All we have to do is speak, He is listening. Say ‘Hashem, You know that I cannot do any physical action to protect. Even most bomb shelters will not help at all if there is a nuclear war. But you can always help, and now you are our only help. Please help me come closer to you, help me believe in you properly, then I know you will protect me. Help everyone come to believe in you then we won’t even need a world war, Moshiach will be able to come in times of peace.’

Iran becomes a nuclear power and we even have a clear Midrash saying that Iran will one day destroy the world, and we sit quietly! No, we have to wake up, daven to Hashem and do tshuva. These are the only things that will help us. Not political activism or fear, just come closer to Hashem.

Being Together On Purim

by admin on March 4, 2012

in Serving Hashem

It is very important to be together on Purim. On Purim Haman wanted to kill all of the Jews. He spoke to the King Achashverosh to convince him to be allowed to kill the Jews. One of his main arguments was that the Jews were a very separate nation. Not united as one. Haman and Achashverosh both understood that the Jews are special people and they are protected by Hashem. It would therefore be impossible for them to kill the Jews. Haman explained to Achashverosh that now they will be able to kill the Jews and Hashem will not protect them since they are not united.

The idea of this unity and the problem with the lack of it is that Hashem is one and we are supposed to emulate Him. When we are separate one from another, we hate each other, and think badly about each other, we separate ourselves from those we hate or don’t get along with. We are certainly not emulating Hashem with this hate and separation! When we are separate from each other no matter how holy we are in ALL other areas we still cannot unit with Hashem! Hashem only will unite with us, the Jewish people when we are together as one. The Zohar says clearly that Hashem does not sit on His throne until the throne is united as one like Him. The throne of Hashem is the Jewish people as we are the ones who are supposed to revile Hashem in this world. When we are not one Hashem is not completely with us.

Ester understood that this was the flaw that Haman was trying to exploit and she requested all the Jews to gather as one and fast for her before she goes to the King to try to annul the decree. When we get together as one Haman has no power.

Also at the end of the story when the Jews fight against Amalek they join together as one. This is mentioned a number of times close to the end of the Migila. Now, many of the special mitzvos of Purim are to unite us together. Giving tzedaka to the poor and presents to ones friends are to unite us together. Also there is a special Mitzva to hear the migila with many people. If you have a chance to go to a miggila reading that has 50 people or one with 100 one should choose to go to the larger one.

It’s hard to find a more appropriate time for us to strengthen ourselves in unity and the mitzvas of Purim in order to come closer to Hashem and foil the plans of the modern day Haman, the King of the Iranians, who wants to wipe the Jews off the face of the map with nuclear bombs.

Hashem please help us fulfill the mitzvos of Purim properly and come to complete unity amongst all of the Jewish people. In that merit, please save of all of the Hamans of every generation.
